Lands of Heroes: play online in your browser
Turn-based strategy inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic III: heroes, towns of nine factions, armies of creatures and battles on a hexagonal field.

About the game
Lands of Heroes is a turn-based strategy for everyone who remembers staying up all night for "just one more turn". Your heroes travel the adventure map, collect resources and treasure, capture mines and creature dwellings, build up towns and lead armies into battle.
If you played Heroes of Might and Magic III, it will all feel familiar: nine factions with their own towns and creatures, weekly growth, one building per day, a mage guild, morale and luck, and battles on a 15 by 11 field with retaliation, shooters and flyers. Creature stats, building costs and battle formulas were checked against the rules of the classic game.
The graphics are our own: creatures and towns are 3D models rendered into sprites, just like in the original. Play against the computer on five difficulty levels or online with friends, 1v1 and 2v2, on a random small or medium map.

How to play
- Press Play, choose a faction, a difficulty and a map size, then Start.
- Click a tile to see the path: green arrows mean the hero gets there today, red ones tomorrow. Click again or press Space to go.
- Pick up resource piles and chests and capture mines: they pay out every day.
- Click your town: build in the Town Hall (one building a day) and recruit creatures in the Fort.
- In battle the unit with the yellow outline moves: click an enemy to strike or shoot. There are Wait, Defend, the spell Book and Auto battle.
- When you are out of moves, press End turn. The game saves itself, so you can close the tab and come back.
Mechanics and rules
Resources and towns
- Seven resources: gold, wood, ore, mercury, sulfur, crystals and gems. Mines produce them daily, a gold mine gives 1,000 gold.
- One building per day per town. Dwellings add new creatures on the first day of each week; a fort and a citadel increase growth.
- The marketplace trades resources: the more markets you own, the better the rate.
Nine factions
- Stronghold of knights and angels, a forest realm of elves and dragons, a spire of mages and titans, an inferno of demons, a crypt of the undead, the underworld, a barbarian horde, a swamp and the elements.
- Each town has seven creature levels, each creature has an upgraded version: over 140 creatures in total.
Heroes and magic
- Four primary skills: attack, defence, spell power and knowledge. Heroes level up and learn secondary skills.
- A hero's army has seven slots, each holding one creature type in any number.
- About 50 combat spells from four schools of magic, learned in the mage guild and paid with mana.
Battle
- A 15 by 11 hex field. Units act in order of speed; every unit retaliates once per round.
- Damage depends on attack versus defence; morale grants an extra move, luck doubles damage.
- You can retreat or surrender for gold, and there is auto battle.
