About the game
War of Realms is a fantasy real-time strategy game. Workers mine gold and chop wood, you build a base, grow an army, hire heroes at the altar, level them up on monster camps and then go smash the enemy.
If you played Warcraft III, you will recognise it at once: two races, humans and orcs, a town hall that grows into a keep and a castle, farms and a food cap with upkeep, heroes with strength, agility and intelligence, and a day-night cycle when monsters fall asleep. The damage table by attack and armour type, costs and build times come from the rules of the classic game.
The graphics are our own: 3D models with painted stone, tile, thatch and wood textures. Play against the computer or online with friends, 1v1 and 2v2.

How to play
- Press Play, choose humans or orcs and the computer's level, then press To battle!
- Select workers and right-click the gold mine or trees: they start gathering.
- Worker → Build (B) → building → place. Green cells mean you can build there.
- Build an altar and hire your first hero for free. Kills give experience and new abilities.
- Right-click is a smart order: move, attack, gather. The buttons at the bottom right have keyboard letters.
- Watch your food: up to 50 you keep all your gold, above that part goes to upkeep.
Mechanics and rules
Economy
- Start: 500 gold, 150 lumber, a town hall and five workers.
- Gold comes 10 per trip, a mine holds 12,500. Five workers on gold bring about 580 gold a minute.
- Food cap 100. Upkeep: up to 50 food full income, 51–80 70%, 81–100 40%.
Humans and orcs
- Humans: peasant, footman, rifleman, knight, priest, sorceress; town hall → keep → castle.
- Orcs: peon, grunt, troll spearman, raider, shaman, minotaur; great hall → stronghold → fortress.
- Attack types (normal, piercing, siege, magic, chaos) deal different damage to light, medium, heavy and fortified armour.
Heroes
- Two heroes per race: Paladin and Archmage for humans, Blademaster and Seer for orcs.
- Strength gives health, intelligence gives mana, agility gives armour and attack speed. A skill point every level.
- A fallen hero is revived at the altar for gold. Heroes have six item slots.
Creeps, day and night
- Camps of gnolls, kobolds, trolls, water spirits and wolves give gold and experience; strong camps drop potions and items.
- A day lasts 8 minutes. At night sight is shorter and creeps sleep.
- You win when the enemy has no buildings left.
