Valley of Crafts: play online in your browser
Economic strategy inspired by The Settlers III: settlers walk without roads, carriers bring the goods, craftsmen pick up tools and towers expand your land.
Free, no download, no install. Works on Windows, Mac and Linux in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.
About the game
Valley of Crafts is a calm economic strategy where the best part is watching your settlement live. Woodcutters fell trees, the saw turns in the sawmill, the miller grinds flour, the baker bakes bread, miners carry coal and ore and smoke rises from the smelters. Your job is to build chains of crafts so that nothing stands idle.
If you played The Settlers III, it will all feel familiar: there are no roads, settlers walk straight across the land, goods lie at building doors, a craftsman appears only when his tool is in stock, and land grows from towers your soldiers have entered. Work times and rules were checked against the classic and its open remake.
The graphics are our own: white walls and red roofs, lush grass, full trees and a top-down camera without perspective. Play against the computer or online with friends: 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2.

How to play
- Press Play: you start with a castle, a stock of boards, stone and tools and a crowd of carriers.
- The Build tab on the left: pick a building and click a spot. A green ghost means you can build there.
- Start with woodcutters, a forester, a stonecutter and a sawmill: boards and stone are needed for everything.
- Then food (fisher, farm, mill, bakery) and mines in the mountains: miners do not work without food.
- Click a building: its card shows who works there and why it has stopped.
- Build towers at the edge of your land, a weaponsmith and barracks, then attack the rival's towers.
Mechanics and rules
No roads
- Everyone walks straight across the land: through forest yes, through houses, rocks and water no, uphill slower.
- Building takes two steps: a digger levels the site, a builder lays boards and stone.
- Houses give new carriers: small up to 10, medium up to 30, large up to 50.
Chains of crafts
- Tree → sawmill → boards; rocks → stone.
- Farm → grain → mill → flour; flour and water → bakery → bread. Grain and water → pig farm → slaughterhouse → meat.
- Ore and coal → smelter → iron or gold; coal and iron → toolsmith → tools.
- Miners eat bread, meat or fish; each deposit cell holds 24 units.
Army and land
- The weaponsmith forges swords, bows and spears, the barracks turn a carrier into a swordsman, archer or spearman.
- A small tower holds 1 + 2 soldiers, a large one 3 + 3, a fortress 6 + 4: melee fighters inside, archers on top.
- Temples give mana, soldiers gain levels. Take all of the rival's towers and castle to win.
